Ammeraal Beltech to Expand US Operations
Ammeraal Beltech, a member of the Ammega Group and a leading global manufacturer of Lightweight Conveyor Belting, has announced plans for a new multi-phased greenfield production plant in Buford, Georgia.
This manufacturing expansion supports the projected growth of Ammeraal Beltech in the Americas region. The state-of-the-art facility will produce a full range of Synthetic Conveyor Belts. “We are excited to expand our Americas’ infrastructure to provide a new level of service and response to our distributor and OEM customer base”, according to Niels van den Boogert, Vice President and General Manager of the Ammeraal Beltech Conveying Solutions business.
Currently, Ammeraal Beltech has US operations in Skokie, Ill., Reading Penn., Jefferson Penn., and Grand Prairie Tex.
Manufacturing in Buford is slated to begin this Fall and hiring for this site is underway.
“The Ammega journey started two years ago with a burning passion to be the best in belting. To be the best customers and channel partners come first.” Says Tom Doring, President of the Americas, and Member of Ammega’s Global Executive Committee. “The Lightweight Belting industry is asking for innovation and faster delivery in a cost-effective manner. This investment will allow us to take what our industry considers great and make it normal. I am excited about this expansion as it is another way we demonstrate our commitment to supporting our customers and channel partners.”
Founded in 1950 in the Netherlands, Ammeraal Beltech is a global market leader in the design, manufacturing, and fabrication of high-quality synthetic and rubber conveyor belts, positive drive belts, and modular belts (uni) used in food processing, logistics operations, fitness equipment, automotive and corrugated manufacturing, and packaging operations.
With product availability throughout the world, Ammeraal Beltech employs over 3000 people in 25 countries, including 10 global manufacturing plants and 80 fabrication and sales sites.
The Ammega Group was created by merging the Ammeraal Beltech conveyor business with Megadyne’s Power Transmission and Fluid Power business. As industry leaders, Ammeraal Beltech and Megadyne joined forces in late 2018 to create AMMEGA under the new ownership of Partners Group, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland.
Globally, The Ammega Group employs 6000 people, has 20 production plants and 150 commercial locations around the world.
