Rubber & Accessories, Inc., with corporate headquarters and warehouse location in Lakeland, Florida and a branch office and warehouse in Tucker, Georgia is celebrating it’s 50 Year Anniversary in July 2022.

Harry K. Robb, Jr.  & Harry “Buzz” Hooper, Jr. opened the doors at 2123 Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, Florida on a hot July morning, July 17, 1972 with a great deal of excitement and even more optimism.  Having just completed careers with Boston Woven Hose & Rubber Company, headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts with a hose plant in Hohenwald, Tennessee.  Harry Robb, Jr.  left as Southeastern Regional Sales Manager in Atlanta, Georgia.  Buzz Hooper was the Industrial Hose Product Manager at the Hohenwald, Tennessee hose plant.

Using their experience and knowledge of the industrial rubber marketplace, success came quickly.  The original 4,500 square ft. office and warehouse facility grew to the now 60,000 square ft. in only a few short years.  The Tucker, Georgia location was added in 1986 to service customers in the southeast and throughout the U.S.

As both of these owners would acknowledge over the years, the dramatic growth and success of Rubber & Accessories, Inc. is directly attributed to the loyalty of the employees and the experience they garnered over these 50 years, as well as the many loyal customers located throughout Florida and the U.S.

As the company moves forward into the second 50 years under the direction and leadership of the next generation, Harry Robb’s daughter Jackie Robb Britt will continue to lead the corporation through the next period of success.
